Your Group's Assignment:  What are the characteristics of Transactional/Transformational Leadership that align with each of the School Improvement Categories: Instructional, Shared, Operational/Resource Management and with Interpersonal Relationships? 

 

 

 

Instructional Leadership

 

 

·        Constructive transactional and transformational leadership are both strong change agent styles.

·        Collaboration and communication are major components of the constructive transactional and transformational styles.

·        Coaching and facilitating is a transformational behavior

      Monitoring, evaluation, and having clear expectations are transactional behavior

 

 

 

Shared Leadership

 

            Intellectually stimulating and learning focused is transformational

                     Collaborative decision-making process and collaborative inquiry are constructive transactional and transformational      

           Monitoring action plans is constructive transactional 

 

 

Operational/Resource Management

 

  •        Transformational leaders are growing people that maximize a school’s human resources

 

 

Interpersonal Relationships

 

  •  Interpersonal relationships are embedded across all styles.
