Your Group's Assignment: What are the characteristics of Servant Leadership that align with each of the School Improvement Categories: Instructional, Shared, Operational/Resource Management and with Interpersonal Relationships?
Using This Wiki

Instructional Leadership
Servant leaders must know the curriculum and how adults learn; provides instructional support; collaborates, monitors; focused on student results; leader helps others be key instructional leaders by providing resources; leader as a coach and evaluator; developing others to be their best.
Shared Leadership
Servant leaders use collaborative decision making amongst staff; ownership by all; inclusive decision making; data driven; persuasive; development of trust relationships - feeling safe to be a part of the decision making process; foresight; learning focused; in the midst of it all - monitoring progress; great follower satisfaction; shared credit for success; empowerment of others; high level of communicatiton amongst members in the organization
Operational/Resource Management
Servant leaders remove obstacles for others to learn and lead; listener; provides resources; stewardship - based on needs and preferred outcomes; leader exists in the middle of the hierarchy - in touch with all aspects of the organization; aware of human resource strengths & needs w/ability to be empathetic and helpful; guides others; overall desire to be helpful;
Interpersonal Relationships
Servant leadership is based on strong, positive relationships; empathy, listening, conceptualization, foresight, healing, stewardship, awareness, commitment, persuasion, community; building culture; creating wiser, freer, autonomous staff; empowerment; shared values and norms;
