Define the Theory

The theory of servant leadership is the desire to help others built on trust to achieve goals and results that serve a total community.

What are the outcomes?  When might this leadership style be used?

Servant Leadership style that is useful most of the time.  There might be a break away when there are times of crisis or in areas needed for direct decision making.  This style may be used when transitions in leadership are made, for sustaining a school culture, it is the best style for building relationships, it helps to build teacher leaders, it is a style that also builds trust.  Servant leaders must let egos go for the good of all.  Empowered teachers will go to great lengths to empower students.  This will make for better student outcomes and less discipline referrals in a building.  Teachers will want to go above and beyond for a servant leader.
