Collective Knowledge about Situational Leadership

 


Your Group's Assignment:  What are the characteristics of Situational Leadership that align with each of the School Improvement Categories: Instructional, Shared, Operational/Resource Management and with Interpersonal Relationships? 

 

 

Using This Wiki

  1. Select a recorder.
  2. Recorder will enter in the space below the group's collective knowledge in each category. While the recorder is entering text into the wiki, group members stand behind, providing input!
  3. To add text, click on the "Edit Page" button at the top left. You will be prompted to enter a password. The password is the name of our program. You will also be asked to enter your name so we can know who edited the page.
  4. After you have logged in with a password and your first name, insert your cursor where you want to begin typing, and begin!

Instructional Leadership-

 

Situational Leadership-One who adopts different leadership styles depending on the situation based on 1)commitment and 2) competence of the stakeholders.

 

 

Shared Leadership- If the group/individuals are commited and competent the work or task can be delegated to the stakeholders. 

 

 

Operational/Resource Management- If the stakeholders are unable but willing to perform the task, the leader interacts with the group/individuals in a friendly manner, but still provides concrete direction and guidance.

 

 

  

Interpersonal Relationships- The amount of focus on establishing and maintaining relationships with the group/individuals is bases on the two main factors, 1)commitment and 2) competence.
