Collective Knowledge about Servant Leadership

 


Your Group's Assignment:  What are the characteristics of Servant Leadership that align with each of the School Improvement Categories: Instructional, Shared, Operational/Resource Management and with Interpersonal Relationships? 

 

 

Using This Wiki

  1. Select a recorder.

  3. To add text, click on the "Edit Page" button at the top left. You will be prompted to enter a password. The password is the name of our program. You will also be asked to enter your name so we can know who edited the page.
  4. After you have logged in with a password and your first name, insert your cursor where you want to begin typing, and begin!

Instructional Leadership

 Servant Leaders focus on: Coaching and Facilitating, Collaboration & Communication

Servant leaders focus on serving employees and being selfless in assisting others to grow. 

 

 

 

Shared Leadership

 

 Servant leaders coaches others and encourage self expression through collaborative inquiry and collaborative decision making process. A servant leader is positioned at the center of the organization not at the top.  Servant leaders are in contact with all aspects of the organization and individuals within it.

 

 

 

Operational/Resource Management

 Servant leaders focus on meeting the needs of those they lead i.e. human resources; ensuring individual needs are meet including equipment, space, and time.

 

 

Interpersonal Relationships

Servant leaders listen to others and build a sense of community; facilitates personal growth; devotes themselves to serving the needs of organizational members; develops employees to bring out the best in them
