Collective Knowledge about Situational Leadership
Your Group's Assignment: What are the characteristics of Situational Leadership that align with each of the School Improvement Categories: Instructional, Shared, Operational/Resource Management and with Interpersonal Relationships?
Using This Wiki

Instructional Leadership
1.) Situational leaders need to be aware of the skills and willingness to engage in the given effort of each staff member.
2.) It helps provide a framework to see what kind of scaffolding an individual or group needs in a given situation to improve.
Shared Leadership
1.) Given the skill and commitment of the individual or collective group, leadership is shared as it alligns with the individuals or groups ability and commitment.
2.) This model requires knowledge and commitment on the part of the leader to appropriatly identify and prescribe the level of supervision or collaboration to accomplish given tasks.
Operational/Resource Management
1.) Given the circumstances of the individuals ability or willingness to accomplish tasks the leader would assess resources and time required. Either giving the right task to the right person, or providing the right support to an individual for the task will maxamize resources.
Interpersonal Relationships
1.) In order to properly invest in the individual or groups capacity to improve the leader must have a knowledge of the groups or individuals development or "maturity."
2.) Depending on that level of development or maturity the leader will invest varying amounts of energy into relationship building.
